Remote recording

Throughout 2020-2021, Jonny has worked extensively from his home recording setup. He has worked with Audio Network, Orlando Weeks and Raphael Fimm as well as producing remote concerts for NQ Jazz. Jonny recorded his album in a day ‘Portrait’ entirely from his home set up - listen here

His set up includes a stereo pair of AKG-414’s into a Motu 896 Mk3. Jonny tends to record in Logic Pro X but can work in Pro Tools also if preferred.

 Arranging & Orchestrating

"in these refined, Ellington and Mendoza-influenced arrangements, no instrument is over-looked.” - Jazz Thing - DE

Jonny notates his works in Sibelius and Logic Pro X. Being able to hear your arrangements before they are recorded can be an invaluable part of the process, and Jonny can create quality demos of his work.

Once you are happy, Jonny will provide you with a set of professionally copied parts, as PDFs or printed parts (or both).

Turn around times vary depending on the size of the project. However can take as little as 24hrs for a track.

Here’s an arrangement of Norah Jones’ ‘Painter Song’. Transcribed and arranged by Jonny.
